This is my favorite and only forum of reference for Death Valley news.
I actually met "Panamint Charlie" after completing a short loop up Pleasant Canyon last year. He related that keeping his site going is almost becoming a full time job due to the number of posts that his site gets.
His site is the go-to place for a very wide audience for all things Death Valley. Many times, his site is the first place where news breaks about Death Valley.
This site is a shortcut all over my desktop. Just reading the posts makes life more bearable during those times I can't get out to the desert.
I would encourage anyone reading this to make this a permanent link in their browser.

This is really a nice family site with some great shots of happily familiar places. It looks like 2006 was the last time the site was updated. Hopefully they'll post the rest of their pictures which they have placeholders for. I think you'll enjoy browsing the site.

My first blog is about the web site Ghost Town Explorers. Lewis, the webmaster, has a well organized site with all the necessary ingredients for a good overview of the desert: galleries and more galleries. His galleries are well captioned and I feel like I'm right there with him in the mines.
There are basically three parts to the site:
The bibliography and links are some of the most exhaustive I have seen anywhere. Maybe we can work on some book reports together in the future. I have just a fraction of the books he has listed. I think he knows way more about the desert than what's on his site. Check it out!
